After a long and eventful day out, I finally see myself sitting at the bus-stop waiting for my bus to arrive. Despite the company of Tian Hui beside me, I somehow still felt a sense of emptiness inside of me. Deeper than ever, this feeling of lonliness seems too hostile, overwhelming me and making me feel rather uncomfortable throughout the wait that seems like an eternity.
While looking at him happily messaging away on his phone, with almost very incoming SMS magically bringing him a smile across his face, I just sat there quietly, observing him in much envy.
Dwelling in the cold silence, pleasant moments of the SCGS Campfire wholly occupied my thoughts. Besides the dazzling dance item put up by the Cedar girls which wows many, I would easily say that it was none other than her smile to me which captured the entire limelight of the campfire. Although everything might have occurred in a flash, the memories is able to last a lifetime.
Beautiful memories which brought forth a slight extent of regret... In fact, campfires are meant to be fun, much filled with laughters and joy throughout the night, but that night, it was just different, and it was the second campfire after the Queensway Campfire in 2003 that had given me such feelings.
A beautiful encounter it was, though it may only involve quick exchanges of words and friendly gestures of smiles.
There is no greater sorrow than to recall in misery the time when we were truly contented with the things that we have. At the end of the day, I still have to soak up all the pain in silence while accepting the fact that every good moments has to come to an end.
