Busy Month

Even before I begin yet another of my typical verbose post, I would like to first extend my appreciation to a handful of readers who had given their decent comments to some of my entries that I had made thus far. Regardless if they are positive or negative remarks, I just want to say that, at least through all the feedbacks received, I can recognize and be aware that this blog is not as inactive as what I had always thought it has been. So, thank you very much!

For your information, unlike what I had previously brought up in the previous post, I have come to the decision of not posting up my reflections with regard to the Malaysia Trip in my blog. From moments to memories…By now, which is approximately three weeks from the trip, many people had already posted their beautifully-scripted reflections on their own personal blog, and I personally felt that what I had wanted to say had already been mentioned across most of their entries. Therefore, in order not to bore some other people who had no particular interest in that topic at all to death, I had chosen not to share it over here again. Moreover, a picture speaks a thousand words, so what more can I express in thoughts and words when I had posted not one, but two videos of photo montages.

Anyway, for the month of June, I have been kept very busy and tied down with several issues and programs that I had to attend to, and that ultimately gave me the impression that the month had somewhat passed by comparatively quickly. Right after the Malaysia trip came the Patrol Leader's Training Camp...Frankly speaking, although I might not have contributed much to the latter, it had still been an energy-draining activity, for age is really catching up on me...

And from these recent events that I had been to, I have got the chance to come across and work with people of disparate characteristics, personalities and academic backgrounds. Through interactions and valuable working opportunities with these people, the experience had taught me one important life lesson which I think can be very relevant to everyone of us here. Anyway, for people who are not used to seeing harsh words or are not the arrogant type of individual whom I will be citing on, feel free to skip to the next paragraph... However, if you choose to see what the advice is, this is it... 'If you happen to dislike something or someone, try to change the situation to your own benefits/advantages. But if you can't change it due to the limits of your capability, then the best solution to deal with the situation is simply to change your attitude. Don't complain. Of course, you are free to give comments to or criticize every single individual that you are unhappy working with, but don't ever forget to review yourself first before starting to assess them. Do not be like a cock who thinks that the sun had risen to hear you crow...'

In any case, please do note that I am not trying to express my anger or unhappiness in any ways, for they are only useful advices which I hope to share. I understand that every single one of us is shaped to work and think differently, but, if anyone is offended in any extend, I deeply apologise for hurting you psychologically.

Coming back to the main topic...apart from my temporary 9am-6pm job, the rest of my time have been wholly occupied by my preparatory work for my tuition lessons. Late night revisions for Chemisty and Physics, doing TYS questions during official working hours, preparing study notes, finding relevant examination questions... I am trying the best of my capabilities to help, but it seems like time is really running short as each day passes.

In principle, I strongly believe that the results of a student reflect very much on the ability to convey and the knowledge of the teacher. Therefore, with that thought in mind, I am somehow feeling very stressed up knowing that the examination dates are approaching, although I am not the one taking the O'Levels. Everyday, I have been thinking of ways to help my student learn better but I still have not derive an effective teaching method. Nevertheless, I am definitely not giving up and at this point in time, I can only hope and pray hard that everything will proceed smoothly...
